Sandra Olmedo
Sandra is receiving Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Spanish and Public Health in May 2022. She is a First Generation student and a Norman Topping Student Aid Fund scholar, and Latino Alumni Association Scholar.
“As a first generation student, my time at USC was filled with a lot of firsts, not just for myself but for my entire family. While I was at USC, I was the first in my family to visit Central America and Europe. USC gave me the opportunity to travel, volunteer, and connect with amazing people all over the world. While at USC, I was a Norman Topping Student Aid Fund scholar, a Latino Alumni Association Scholar, and part of a Latina-founded sorority, Kappa Delta Chi sorority inc.”
Sandra also worked for the Psychology Department front desk as a Student Assistant since Fall 2018.
Currently, Sandra works as a Parenting Instructor at Passport to Learning, where her primary goal is to help parents with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities be the best parents they can be.
She is also a CA Associates for License Clinical Counselor (CALPCC) Fellow.
Sandra was recently awarded the SHEro award, which is given to trailblazing women in LA City Council District 9.
